Walnut Pear Nightfall

Pear, Walnut & Cardamom Oat Cup. A different way to make the moment yours.

Walnut Pear Nightfall

Pear contributes a mild fruit sweetness, walnut adds earthy depth, and a small pinch of cardamom gives the aroma a more interesting edge. Use a ripe pear and remove the core completely before blending. The walnut may leave a little texture, so strain if you want a silkier cup. This is softer than a tart berry milk and less sweet than a banana-based drink. Warm it gently and keep the cardamom restrained so the pear doesn't disappear.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 1/2 fruit Ripe pear, cored and sliced
  • 1 tbsp Shelled walnuts
  • 1 tiny pinch Ground cardamom

Make it

  1. Prepare the ingredients as listed. Any grain, root vegetable or chestnut listed as cooked must already be fully cooked and cooled.
  2. Blend the cold oat milk with any fruit, nuts, seeds, nut paste or cooked ingredients until completely smooth. Whisk powders with a spoonful of milk first if needed.
  3. Pour into a small saucepan and add the remaining ingredients. Warm gently for 3–4 minutes while whisking; do not boil. Remove any whole peel or ginger slices before serving.
  4. Thin with a splash of water if needed and sip once comfortably warm.

Benefits

Pear · keep the fiber

Pear contributes a little fiber for normal digestion; oat milk brings a mellow, creamy base in this recipe. In this version, 8 oz oat milk, 1 tbsp walnuts, and 1 tiny pinch cardamom completes the pairing.

Walnuts · a reason to linger

Warm walnuts with oat milk, pear, and cardamom and you get an earthy, slightly bitter nuttiness in a cup made for small, comfortably warm sips.

Check the ingredient labels for nuts, peanuts, sesame and other allergens relevant to you.
