Sunflower Cinnamon Low Light

Sunflower Seed Butter & Cinnamon Milk. A different way to make the moment yours.

Sunflower Cinnamon Low Light

Sunflower seed butter gives warm oat milk a toasted, slightly savory flavor that works well with cinnamon. Vanilla adds a softer aroma without needing a sweet syrup. Use an unsweetened seed butter and stir its jar well before measuring. The flavor can be stronger than you expect, so start with the recipe amount rather than a heaped spoon. This is a creamy, uncomplicated cup with a clear seed flavor, useful when you're ready for a change from almond or coconut.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 tbsp Unsweetened sunflower seed butter
  • 1/16 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring

Make it

  1. Prepare the ingredients as listed. Any grain, root vegetable or chestnut listed as cooked must already be fully cooked and cooled.
  2. Blend the cold oat milk with any fruit, nuts, seeds, nut paste or cooked ingredients until completely smooth. Whisk powders with a spoonful of milk first if needed.
  3. Pour into a small saucepan and add the remaining ingredients. Warm gently for 3–4 minutes while whisking; do not boil. Remove any whole peel or ginger slices before serving.
  4. Thin with a splash of water if needed and sip once comfortably warm.

Benefits

Sunflower seed butter · vitamin E in the mix

The 1 tbsp of unsweetened sunflower seed butter adds some vitamin E for protecting the body’s cells from oxidative damage, with oat milk, cinnamon, and vanilla rounding out the flavor.
