Raspberry First Sip
Raspberry Lime Sparkler. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Raspberries make a lively first impression: tart, a little sweet, and unmistakably berry. Lime adds another bright edge, so this isn’t the choice for someone expecting a sugary soda. Press the berries just enough to release their juice, then finish with sparkling water. You’ll have some seeds in the glass unless you strain it, which is worth doing if you prefer a smoother sip.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Sparkling water
- 1/4 cup Raspberries
- 1/2 oz Lime juice
Make it
- Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
- Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
- Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.
Benefits
Lime · a little vitamin C
The 1/2 oz of lime juice adds some vitamin C for absorbing iron from plant foods, with raspberry rounding out the flavor.
Raspberry · more than a sweet mixer
With lime in the glass, the measured raspberry contributes a bright raspberry tang as an accent to the fizz.
