Plum Almond Morning Pause
A blended drink with plum, almond, banana.

Plum adds a gentle tartness to banana and almond butter, making this blend feel fruitier than a straightforward nut-butter smoothie. Use ripe plums and remove the stones carefully. The skins may leave tiny flecks, but they contribute color and a little extra texture. Smooth almond butter blends most evenly. The finished glass should taste of plum first, with a soft almond finish; adding a large extra spoonful of nut butter can make it unnecessarily heavy.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Unsweetened oat milk
- 1 fruit Ripe plum, pitted
- 1 tbsp Smooth almond butter
- 1/2 fruit Ripe banana
Make it
- Prepare all fruit as listed. Use cooked, cooled ingredients where specified; remove every stone, core or hard stem.
- Add the milk and all remaining ingredients to a blender. Blend for 45–60 seconds, scraping down as needed, until smooth.
- Add a small splash of milk if needed to make it pourable. Serve immediately.
Benefits
Banana · a potassium contribution
You get a small potassium contribution from banana in the oat milk, plum, and almond butter mixture, supporting maintaining normal fluid balance alongside a smooth texture and mellow sweetness.
Almond butter in a fuller glass
The almond butter contributes a mellow almond flavor to the oat milk, plum, and banana blend, giving that creamy base its own flavor instead of relying on a flavored syrup.
