Peppermint Vanilla Tea. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Vanilla gives peppermint tea a softer-smelling finish without removing its clear, cooling flavor. There’s no milk here, so the cup stays light even though the aroma feels a little rounder. Brew the peppermint first and add flavoring with a restrained hand. Too much vanilla can make a fresh tea taste oddly heavy. A small amount is enough to make this different from your usual mint cup while keeping the mint itself enjoyable.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Peppermint tea
- 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
