Pear Spice Last Chapter
Pear Cardamom Rooibos. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Pear and cardamom give rooibos a fragrant, softly fruity character. The tea supplies a woody base, ripe pear adds gentle sweetness, and cardamom brings a brighter spice scent. Slice the fruit thinly and let it infuse after brewing. Keep the cardamom small enough that the pear remains noticeable. This is a quiet combination that benefits from a little time in the cup, rather than increasing every ingredient to make the first sip stronger.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Rooibos tea
- 1/4 cup Pear slices
- 1/16 tsp Ground cardamom
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
