Pear Honey Rooibos Pause
Pear Honey Rooibos. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Pear and honey give rooibos a gentle sweetness with two different kinds of fragrance. The pear is soft and fruity; honey adds a floral note that depends on the jar you use. Brew the tea, let thin pear slices infuse, and only then decide how much honey it needs. A ripe pear can already bring plenty. The cup should feel mellow and tea-like, rather than becoming a sweet drink with a little rooibos underneath.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Rooibos tea
- 1/4 cup Pear slices
- 1/2 tsp Honey (optional)
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
Benefits
Rooibos · caffeine-free with pear
Choose pure rooibos for this pear cup: its mellow, woody brewed flavor comes without the caffeine found in black tea.
Pear · a reason to linger
Warm pear with rooibos and you get a mellow orchard sweetness in a cup made for small, comfortably warm sips.
