Pear Hibiscus Hello
Pear Hibiscus Cooler. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Hibiscus has a vivid tartness that makes pear seem especially soft beside it. The fruit contributes a gentle sweetness rather than the strong flavor of a juice. Thin slices and a short rest in the tea help that subtlety come through. Don’t overbrew in the hope of finding more pear; you’ll mostly get stronger hibiscus. It’s an appealing contrast when the tea leaves space for the fruit.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Hibiscus tea
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1/4 cup Pear slices
Make it
- Steep the tea in hot water for the time on its packet, then remove the bag.
- Let the tea cool. Press or mash any soft fruit and stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Pour over ice. Strain if you prefer a smoother drink.
Benefits
Hibiscus · caffeine-free with pear
Choose pure hibiscus for this pear cup: its ruby color and tart brewed flavor comes without the caffeine found in black tea.
Pear · a flavor worth noticing
Using pear beside hibiscus gives the glass a mellow orchard sweetness, creating its own flavor without needing carbonation or an alcoholic pour.
