Pear End of Day

Warm Pear Ginger Cup. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Pear End of Day

Pear and ginger make a light warm infusion, with soft fruit sweetness followed by a small peppery finish. Ripe pear is important because the hot water won’t create flavor that wasn’t in the fruit. Slice it thinly and let the ingredients stand together briefly. Ginger releases its character readily, so use a little at first. The pear should still be noticeable between the warmer notes, rather than becoming decoration in a strong ginger cup.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Hot water
  • 1/4 cup Pear slices
  • 2 slice Fresh ginger

Make it

  1. Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
  2. Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.

Benefits

Pear and ginger · refreshing fluids

Pear and ginger makes room for more water in your day. The 6 oz base carries a mellow orchard sweetness without needing alcohol to give it character.
