Passion Rosemary Late Afternoon

Passion Fruit, Grapefruit & Rosemary Spritz. A different way to make the moment yours.

Passion Rosemary Late Afternoon

Passion fruit and grapefruit make a fairly assertive combination: fragrant tropical acidity alongside a distinctly bitter citrus finish. Rosemary adds a dry, woody aroma that makes the glass feel more layered. Use a small sprig and strain the passion fruit if you don't enjoy the seeds. There is no syrup hiding the sharper flavors here. This is a good choice for someone who likes a tart aperitif-style drink and wants more character than a simple juice-and-soda mixture.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz Sparkling water
  • 1/2 oz Passion fruit pulp
  • 2 oz Grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 small sprig Fresh rosemary

Make it

  1. Prepare the fruit and herbs as listed. Mash soft fruit to release juice; lightly press herbs or thin ginger slices without shredding them.
  2. Add the still juices and stir. Strain out seeds, skins or herb pieces if you prefer a smoother texture.
  3. Pour in the chilled sparkling water slowly and stir once. Serve immediately, with ice if you like.

Benefits

Grapefruit · a little vitamin C

Grapefruit brings some vitamin C to the mix—a nutrient involved in collagen formation for healthy skin, alongside a fragrant tropical sharpness from passion fruit.

Passion fruit with a little lift

The passion fruit brings a fragrant tropical sharpness, alongside grapefruit and rosemary; the chilled carbonated mixer adds a crisp texture to that pairing.

If your medicine advises avoiding grapefruit, choose a different recipe or check with your pharmacist.
