Papaya Cardamom Quiet Cup

Papaya, Coconut & Cardamom Oat Milk. A different way to make the moment yours.

Papaya Cardamom Quiet Cup

Papaya gives this milk a soft tropical flavor and a smooth body, while coconut adds richness and cardamom provides a small aromatic twist. Use fully ripe papaya with every seed removed, then blend before heating. The spice should be very restrained so it doesn't cover the delicate fruit. Warm the mixture gently rather than boiling it. This is a fuller evening cup with a mellow finish, quite different from a sharp fruit tea or a heavily sweetened tropical smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 1/2 cup Ripe papaya, peeled and deseeded
  • 2 oz Unsweetened carton coconut milk
  • 1 tiny pinch Ground cardamom

Make it

  1. Prepare the ingredients as listed. Any grain, root vegetable or chestnut listed as cooked must already be fully cooked and cooled.
  2. Blend the cold oat milk with any fruit, nuts, seeds, nut paste or cooked ingredients until completely smooth. Whisk powders with a spoonful of milk first if needed.
  3. Pour into a small saucepan and add the remaining ingredients. Warm gently for 3–4 minutes while whisking; do not boil. Remove any whole peel or ginger slices before serving.
  4. Thin with a splash of water if needed and sip once comfortably warm.

Benefits

Papaya · color with a purpose

Papaya brings some beta-carotene to this warm cup—a nutrient involved in making vitamin A for normal vision, alongside a mellow, creamy base from oat milk.

Cardamom · a reason to linger

Warm cardamom with oat milk, papaya, and coconut milk and you get a fragrant, almost citrusy warmth in a cup made for small, comfortably warm sips.
