Orange Soft Landing
Orange Vanilla Steamer. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Orange peel and vanilla make oat milk smell almost dessert-like without adding orange juice’s acidity. The peel contributes fragrant oils and possibly a little bitterness; vanilla makes the aroma rounder. Warm gently and give the peel a short infusion, then remove it when the citrus is clear enough. You’re looking for soft milk with a hint of orange, not a strongly bitter cup from leaving a thick piece of pith in too long.
Ingredients
- 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
- 1 strip Orange peel
- 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
Make it
- Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan; do not boil.
- Add the spices, flavoring, and any fruit. Whisk powders well. If using tea, steep for the packet’s recommended time and remove the bag.
- Simmer gently for 2 minutes. Strain whole spices or fruit if you like, then pour into a mug.
Benefits
Orange peel with a useful milk choice
With fortified oat milk beneath the orange peel, the recipe can contribute calcium as well as a creamy texture. Calcium helps maintain bones and teeth.
Orange peel beside oat milk and vanilla
Using 1 strip of orange peel adds a fragrant orange-oil note to the warm oat milk and vanilla, bringing aroma as well as taste to this combination.
