Orange Cucumber Fresh Page

Orange Cucumber Sparkler. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Orange Cucumber Fresh Page

Orange and cucumber make a fresh pairing without the sharper squeeze of lemon or lime. The orange gives familiar sweetness, cucumber adds a garden scent, and bubbles keep the glass light. Thin slices let the cucumber contribute more than decoration. Mix it with the juice before adding the sparkling water, then allow a short pause. The result should feel clean and citrusy, with a quiet cucumber finish.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Sparkling water
  • 2 oz Orange juice
  • 4 slice Cucumber

Make it

  1. Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
  2. Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
  3. Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.

Benefits

Orange · a little vitamin C

Orange supplies some vitamin C for protecting cells from oxidative damage; pairing it with cucumber adds another layer to the flavor.

Make room for cucumber

Cucumber gives the orange a crisp green flavor—an aromatic pairing to serve freshly mixed, while the bubbles are lively.
