Orange Blossom Night In

Orange Blossom Oat Milk. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Orange Blossom Night In

Orange blossom water gives oat milk a floral citrus scent without the tartness of orange juice. It’s a concentrated ingredient, so the food-grade product needs a careful measure. Warm the milk gently, stir in the blossom water, and taste before adding another drop. The cup should remain soft and milky. Its interest is the fragrance you notice as you raise it, not an intensely floral flavor that follows you through every sip.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 1/8 tsp Food-grade orange blossom water

Make it

  1. Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan; do not boil.
  2. Add the spices, flavoring, and any fruit. Whisk powders well. If using tea, steep for the packet’s recommended time and remove the bag.
  3. Simmer gently for 2 minutes. Strain whole spices or fruit if you like, then pour into a mug.

Benefits

Orange blossom water with a useful milk choice

A calcium-fortified oat milk adds a bone-and-teeth nutrient to the orange blossom water pairing. Check the carton when choosing your base; fortification varies.

Oat milk beside orange blossom water

Using 8 oz of oat milk adds a mellow, creamy base to the warm orange blossom water, bringing aroma as well as taste to this combination.
