Nutmeg Night In

Nutmeg Oat Milk. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Nutmeg Night In

Nutmeg changes warm oat milk with just a small pinch, adding a woody, familiar spice aroma. The milk stays soft and lightly sweet, so there’s little to distract from using too much spice. Measure first, heat gently, and stir well. Nutmeg won’t dissolve completely, but it shouldn’t make the cup feel dusty. This is one of those simple combinations where restraint gives you more pleasure than adding enough spice to announce itself immediately.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 1/16 tsp Ground nutmeg

Make it

  1. Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan; do not boil.
  2. Add the spices, flavoring, and any fruit. Whisk powders well. If using tea, steep for the packet’s recommended time and remove the bag.
  3. Simmer gently for 2 minutes. Strain whole spices or fruit if you like, then pour into a mug.

Benefits

Nutmeg with a useful milk choice

There’s room for a useful choice beneath the nutmeg: use calcium-fortified oat milk to add a mineral your muscles and nerves need.

The nutmeg detail

Here nutmeg supplies a warm, woody fragrance, with oat milk turning that familiar ingredient into a different kind of warm cup.
