Mint Tea Pineapple Morning Air
A chilled drink with pineapple, cucumber.

Pineapple makes peppermint tea fruity, while cucumber adds a mild green flavor that keeps the combination from becoming too sweet. Cool the tea fully, then stir in the pineapple juice and a few very thin cucumber slices. A short rest is enough for the cucumber to make itself known. The peppermint should feel cool and aromatic rather than medicinally strong. This is an easy caffeine-free iced tea for someone who finds plain mint tea a little one-dimensional.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Peppermint tea
- 6 oz Water
- 2 oz Pineapple juice
- 4 slice Cucumber, thinly sliced
Make it
- Brew the tea in the measured water, using the temperature and steeping time on its packet. Remove the tea bag.
- Cool the tea in a heatproof container, then chill for about 30 minutes.
- Mash any soft fruit in a separate glass. Lightly bruise herbs or ginger; add these and the listed juices or spices to the cooled tea.
- Stir well and taste. Remove ginger or herb sprigs when their flavor suits you. Strain if you prefer a smoother drink, then serve chilled.
