Mint Orange Sofa Sip
Orange Peel Peppermint Tea. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Orange peel gives peppermint tea a fragrant citrus detail without the acidity of orange juice. Mint still supplies the strongest flavor, with the peel adding something you notice as the cup approaches. Use a small piece and avoid too much white pith. Brew the peppermint as usual, then let the peel infuse briefly. The finished cup should feel fresh and light, with orange around the edges rather than a bitter citrus flavor dominating the tea.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Peppermint tea
- 1 strip Orange peel
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
Benefits
Peppermint · caffeine-free with orange peel
Peppermint gives orange peel a brewed base without caffeine, so the flavor does not depend on a caffeinated tea or coffee.
