Mint Ginger Evening Walk

Ginger Peppermint Tea. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Mint Ginger Evening Walk

Peppermint and fresh ginger make an interesting contrast: cool mint aroma followed by a small warming bite. Neither needs sweetness to be noticeable. Brew the peppermint first, then let a little ginger infuse until the warmth suits you. More time means more ginger character, so don’t leave it indefinitely without tasting. This is a lively evening cup for someone who prefers clear herbal flavors to milk, fruit juice, or a sweet dessert-style drink.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Hot water
  • 1 tea bag Peppermint tea
  • 2 slice Fresh ginger

Make it

  1. Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
  2. Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.

The peppermint and ginger combination offers a cool mint fragrance without caffeine—a useful option when you want another brewed drink later.

Ginger · a reason to linger
