Lemon Mint Lamplight
Lemon Peppermint Tea. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Lemon makes peppermint tea sharper and more citrusy without changing its light texture. The mint’s cooling flavor stays recognizable, while the lemon gives the finish a brighter edge. Brew the tea first and add citrus gradually. It’s easy to squeeze enough lemon that you mostly taste warm citrus water. This is most enjoyable when both ingredients remain clear, especially if you like an unsweetened cup that feels fresh rather than soft and milky.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Peppermint tea
- 1/2 oz Lemon juice
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
Benefits
Peppermint · caffeine-free with lemon
Choose pure peppermint for this lemon cup: its cool mint fragrance comes without the caffeine found in black tea.
A warmer side of lemon
The peppermint carries a clean citrus sharpness from lemon, giving you a fragrant warm drink to enjoy in place of an alcoholic nightcap.
