Lavender Vanilla Linen Cup
A strained culinary-lavender infusion with vanilla oat milk.

Lavender is easy to overdo, so this cup uses a very small amount and a short steep. The aim is a floral aroma above warm vanilla milk, without a perfumed or soapy finish. Straining matters because the dried flowers are unpleasant to sip. Honey adds a little roundness, though the vanilla already makes the cup smell sweet. It is a delicate alternative to heavily spiced milk, best served warm enough to release its fragrance.
Ingredients
- 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
- 1/16 tsp Dried culinary lavender
- 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
- 1/2 tsp Honey
Make it
- Warm the milk gently until steaming, then remove from the heat.

- Stir in the vanilla and honey. Serve warm.
Benefits
Lavender with a useful milk choice
There’s room for a useful choice beneath the lavender: use calcium-fortified oat milk to add a mineral your muscles and nerves need.
A warmer side of vanilla
The oat milk and lavender carries a sweet-smelling vanilla aroma from vanilla, giving you a fragrant warm drink to enjoy in place of an alcoholic nightcap.
Use food-grade culinary lavender, not ornamental flowers or essential oil.
