Lavender Lemon Morning
Lemon Lavender Lemonade. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Lemon makes this water brisk, while lavender adds a floral scent that changes the whole impression. The amount of lavender matters more than the number of ingredients: a little can be lovely, too much can taste perfumed or soapy. Use culinary lavender and give it a brief chance to infuse before judging. The finished water should still feel lemony and light, with the flowers passing through rather than settling in.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Cold water
- 1/2 oz Lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp Culinary lavender
Make it
- Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
- Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
- Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.
Benefits
Lemon ยท a little vitamin C
Beside lavender, lemon offers a little vitamin C, used by your body for normal immune function, as well as a clean citrus sharpness.
A different side of lavender
There is a delicate floral scent from the measured lavender in the lemon mixture, giving that ingredient a place without drowning out the other flavors.
Use culinary lavender, never essential oil.
