Kiwi Pepper Backyard Table
Kiwi, Pineapple & Jalapeño Fizz. A different way to make the moment yours.

Kiwi contributes tartness and tiny seeds, pineapple gives the drink a sweeter tropical base, and jalapeño adds a measured amount of heat. Remove the pepper's seeds and begin with a thin slice; you can always let it infuse longer. Mash the kiwi smoothly before adding the fizzy water. The result should be lively and fruity rather than aggressively hot. This is a useful party glass when you want a little spice without making the drink depend on a spirit alternative.
Ingredients
- 5 oz Sparkling water
- 1/2 fruit Ripe kiwi, peeled
- 2 oz Pineapple juice
- 1 thin slice Jalapeño, deseeded
Make it
- Prepare the fruit and herbs as listed. Mash soft fruit to release juice; lightly press herbs or thin ginger slices without shredding them.
- Add the still juices and stir. Strain out seeds, skins or herb pieces if you prefer a smoother texture.
- Pour in the chilled sparkling water slowly and stir once. Serve immediately, with ice if you like.
