Honeydew First Breeze
Honeydew Mint Water. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Honeydew has a lovely soft sweetness when it’s ripe, and mint gives this light water a fresher finish. The melon won’t release much flavor if the cubes stay completely untouched, so press a few gently. Let the glass rest briefly while you get breakfast together. It should taste quietly of melon, with mint around the edges, rather than like a heavily flavored green juice.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Cold water
- 1/2 cup Honeydew cubes
- 5 leaf Mint leaves
Make it
- Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
- Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
- Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.

There’s 6 oz of water behind the honeydew and mint in this recipe: everyday hydration with a delicate melon sweetness, rather than another plain glass.
Honeydew and mint
The honeydew contributes a delicate melon sweetness to mint, giving you a specific flavor combination to reach for instead of a default pour.
