Honey, It’s Evening
Honey Chamomile Tea. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Chamomile and honey make a familiar evening cup, with the honey softening the tea’s light floral, slightly hay-like flavor. It’s not a rich drink, so a small amount of honey is usually enough to change it. Brew the tea first and taste before sweetening. There’s something pleasant about keeping this one uncomplicated: a warm mug, a gentle floral aroma, and no need to turn the last cup of the day into a project.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Chamomile tea
- 1/2 tsp Honey (optional)
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
Benefits
Chamomile · caffeine-free with a brewed flavor
Chamomile gives this cup a brewed base without caffeine, so the flavor does not depend on a caffeinated tea or coffee.
Chamomile · a reason to linger
Warm chamomile and you get a gentle floral aroma in a cup made for small, comfortably warm sips.
