Honey House Lights
Honey Vanilla Milk. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Honey and vanilla make warm oat milk feel more like a small treat than a plain glass of milk. The honey brings sweetness and some floral character; vanilla adds aroma rather than creaminess of its own. Warm gently and taste before using all the honey, especially if your oat milk already tastes sweet. The finished cup should remain soft and milky, with the two additions noticeable but not competing to be the main event.
Ingredients
- 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
- 1/2 tsp Honey (optional)
- 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
Make it
- Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan; do not boil.
- Add the spices, flavoring, and any fruit. Whisk powders well. If using tea, steep for the packet’s recommended time and remove the bag.
- Simmer gently for 2 minutes. Strain whole spices or fruit if you like, then pour into a mug.
Benefits
Vanilla with a useful milk choice
A calcium-fortified oat milk adds a bone-and-teeth nutrient to the vanilla pairing. Check the carton when choosing your base; fortification varies.
Vanilla · a reason to linger
Warm vanilla with oat milk and you get a sweet-smelling vanilla aroma in a cup made for small, comfortably warm sips.
