Hibiscus Nectarine Morning Glow
A chilled drink with nectarine, mint.

Hibiscus gives ripe nectarine a sharper outline, and mint keeps the aroma fresh. The fruit's sweetness matters, so choose a nectarine that's ready to eat rather than one that is still hard. Press a few slices into the cooled tea and let the rest stay whole. A normal-strength brew allows the stone-fruit flavor to remain noticeable. This is a caffeine-free iced tea with a tart start and a softer, gently fruity finish, without needing flavored syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Hibiscus tea
- 6 oz Water
- 1/2 fruit Ripe nectarine, pitted and sliced
- 4 leaf Mint leaves
Make it
- Brew the tea in the measured water, using the temperature and steeping time on its packet. Remove the tea bag.
- Cool the tea in a heatproof container, then chill for about 30 minutes.
- Mash any soft fruit in a separate glass. Lightly bruise herbs or ginger; add these and the listed juices or spices to the cooled tea.
- Stir well and taste. Remove ginger or herb sprigs when their flavor suits you. Strain if you prefer a smoother drink, then serve chilled.
Benefits
Hibiscus ยท caffeine-free with nectarine and mint
Hibiscus gives nectarine and mint a brewed base without caffeine, so the flavor does not depend on a caffeinated tea or coffee.
Nectarine, hibiscus, and mint
The nectarine contributes a mellow stone-fruit sweetness to hibiscus and mint, giving you a specific flavor combination to reach for instead of a default pour.
