Hibiscus Hello
Hibiscus Orange Cooler. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Hibiscus is already tart, so orange doesn’t just add more citrus—it brings a rounder sweetness to the tea. The color is part of the pleasure, but the flavor is more important: bright, fruity, and a little puckering. Brew the hibiscus before adding the orange so you can judge its strength. For a cold version, cool the tea first instead of asking a glass of ice to do everything.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Hibiscus tea
- 6 oz Hot water
- 2 oz Orange juice
Make it
- Steep the tea in hot water for the time on its packet, then remove the bag.
- Let the tea cool. Press or mash any soft fruit and stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Pour over ice. Strain if you prefer a smoother drink.
