Guava Sunrise Sip
Guava Lime Sparkler. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Guava is fragrant and softly tropical, with lime providing a useful tart edge against its sweetness. Sparkling water prevents the juice from feeling too thick or concentrated. This is a good place to notice the difference between guava nectar and a lighter juice; the recipe’s texture depends on what you pour. Add the lime gradually and aim for a glass where guava remains the flavor you remember.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Sparkling water
- 2 oz Guava juice
- 1/2 oz Lime juice
Make it
- Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
- Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
- Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.
Benefits
Lime · a little vitamin C
The 1/2 oz of lime juice adds some vitamin C for absorbing iron from plant foods, with guava rounding out the flavor.
Guava · more than a sweet mixer
With lime in the glass, the measured guava contributes a fragrant tropical sweetness as an accent to the fizz.
