Guava Hibiscus Sunbeam
Guava Hibiscus Cooler. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Guava brings a fragrant tropical sweetness to hibiscus’s sharp floral flavor. The result has more fruit character than plain hibiscus tea, with the sourness still very much present. Brew before adding the guava so you can tell whether the tea is already strong enough. Some guava juices are thicker and sweeter than others, which is a good reason to begin with a measured pour rather than judging by color.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Hibiscus tea
- 6 oz Hot water
- 2 oz Guava juice
Make it
- Steep the tea in hot water for the time on its packet, then remove the bag.
- Let the tea cool. Press or mash any soft fruit and stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Pour over ice. Strain if you prefer a smoother drink.
Benefits
Hibiscus · caffeine-free with guava
The hibiscus and guava combination offers a ruby color and tart brewed flavor without caffeine—a useful option when you want another brewed drink later.
Guava · a flavor worth noticing
Using guava beside hibiscus gives the glass a fragrant tropical sweetness, creating its own flavor without needing carbonation or an alcoholic pour.
