Green Tea Peach Cucumber Start
A chilled drink with peach, cucumber, lime.

Peach gives this green tea a soft fruit note, cucumber adds freshness, and lime makes the finish a little sharper. None of the additions needs to be strong. Slice ripe peach thinly and press a couple of pieces before adding the cooled tea. A small squeeze of lime is enough, particularly if your peach is tart. This is a lighter alternative to sweet peach iced tea, with a recognizable tea flavor underneath the fruit. It contains caffeine.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Green tea
- 6 oz Water
- 1/2 cup Peach, pitted and sliced
- 4 slice Cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 oz Lime juice
Make it
- Brew the tea in the measured water, using the temperature and steeping time on its packet. Remove the tea bag.
- Cool the tea in a heatproof container, then chill for about 30 minutes.
- Mash any soft fruit in a separate glass. Lightly bruise herbs or ginger; add these and the listed juices or spices to the cooled tea.
- Stir well and taste. Remove ginger or herb sprigs when their flavor suits you. Strain if you prefer a smoother drink, then serve chilled.
