Fig Vanilla Night Kitchen
Fig Vanilla Oat Milk. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Fig and vanilla give oat milk a mellow fruit sweetness with a familiar soft aroma. The fig adds body as well as flavor, and its tiny seeds may still be noticeable after blending. Use ripe fruit and blend thoroughly before warming gently. Vanilla should support the fig rather than replace it. This is a fuller cup than plain vanilla milk, suited to someone who enjoys a little fruit texture instead of expecting a completely clear, silky drink.
Ingredients
- 8 oz Unsweetened oat milk
- 1 fruit Fig
- 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
Make it
- Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan; do not boil.
- Add the spices, flavoring, and any fruit. Whisk powders well. If using tea, steep for the packet’s recommended time and remove the bag.
- Simmer gently for 2 minutes. Strain whole spices or fruit if you like, then pour into a mug.
Benefits
Fig with a useful milk choice
Choose fortified oat milk and the fig in this cup comes with a little calcium too, contributing to normal muscle function as well as bones and teeth.
A warmer side of vanilla
The oat milk and fig carries a sweet-smelling vanilla aroma from vanilla, giving you a fragrant warm drink to enjoy in place of an alcoholic nightcap.
