Fig First Chapter

Fig Cinnamon Smoothie. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Fig First Chapter

Fig and cinnamon give this oat blend a mellow, almost porridge-like character. Banana makes it creamy, while pieces of fig add a deeper fruit sweetness and tiny seeds you may still notice after blending. The oats need a thorough blend so the texture feels intentional rather than gritty. Keep the cinnamon restrained: fig is a gentle flavor, and it’s worth leaving enough space to recognize it.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 fruit Fig
  • 1 fruit Banana
  • 1/8 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Rolled oats (optional)

Make it

  1. Add the milk and all fruit to a blender.
  2. Add any spices or optional oats. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass. Add a splash more milk if you prefer it thinner.

Benefits

Banana · keep the fiber

Banana supplies some fiber for keeping digestion moving regularly; pairing it with oat milk, fig, and cinnamon adds another layer to the flavor.

Let cinnamon change the texture

In the oat milk, fig, and banana blend, the measured cinnamon adds a sweet-smelling spice note without an ice-cream base.
