Coffee Date First Draft
A blended drink with coffee, date, banana.

Cold coffee and a soft date give this smoothie a caramel-like note without using flavored coffee syrup. Banana keeps it thick, while the coffee leaves a recognizable roasted finish. Remove the date stone and soak a firm date briefly before blending so you don't end up with little chewy pieces. Use cooled coffee, never hot coffee in a sealed blender. This is one for people who enjoy coffee flavor; it isn't a caffeine-free morning drink.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Unsweetened oat milk
- 2 oz Brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 fruit Soft pitted date
- 1/2 fruit Ripe banana
Make it
- Prepare all fruit as listed. Use cooked, cooled ingredients where specified; remove every stone, core or hard stem.
- If the date is firm, soak it in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain.
- Add the milk and all remaining ingredients to a blender. Blend for 45–60 seconds, scraping down as needed, until smooth.
- Add a small splash of milk if needed to make it pourable. Serve immediately.
