Coconut Verbena Porch Swing
Coconut & Ginger Lemon Verbena Tea. A different way to make the moment yours.

Coconut water softens lemon verbena's fragrant citrus character, and ginger adds a small warm note at the finish. The result stays light rather than creamy. Use a normal-strength verbena brew and a modest amount of ginger so the herb's aroma doesn't get lost. Remove the slices once the flavor suits you. This is a simple evening infusion with a mild tropical edge, useful when a rich milk drink feels too heavy but plain herbal tea doesn't sound especially interesting.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Food-grade lemon verbena tea
- 6 oz Water
- 2 oz Coconut water
- 2 slice Fresh ginger, thinly sliced
Make it
- Prepare any fruit as listed, removing stones, cores and hard stems.
- Brew the tea in the measured water according to its packet, then remove the bag.
- Whisk any nut or seed butter into a spoonful of the hot tea first. Add it back with the fruit, juice, spices or other listed flavorings. Warm gently in a small pan for 3–4 minutes if needed to soften fruit; do not boil.
- Strain if preferred, removing whole peel, herb or ginger pieces. Serve at a comfortable drinking temperature.
