Coconut Vanilla Rooibos Rest
Coconut Vanilla Rooibos. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Coconut water and vanilla soften rooibos without making it creamy. The coconut adds a mild sweetness, vanilla changes the aroma, and the tea remains the main texture and flavor. Brew the rooibos before adding the liquids so it doesn’t end up too weak. Taste the coconut water first if it’s an unfamiliar brand. The finished cup should be gently fragrant, with enough tea character that it still feels like a proper rooibos drink.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Rooibos tea
- 2 oz Coconut water
- 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
Benefits
Coconut water · a potassium contribution
Beside rooibos and vanilla, coconut water offers a little potassium, used by your body for maintaining normal fluid balance, as well as a light coconut sweetness.
A warmer side of vanilla
The rooibos and coconut water carries a sweet-smelling vanilla aroma from vanilla, giving you a fragrant warm drink to enjoy in place of an alcoholic nightcap.
