Coconut Toasted Twilight

Toasted Coconut Rooibos. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Coconut Toasted Twilight

Toasted coconut adds a nutty, warmer aroma to rooibos, rather than the creaminess you’d get from coconut milk. The tea remains light in texture and gently woody in flavor. Let the coconut infuse briefly after brewing and decide whether you want to strain it before drinking. A few floating pieces are harmless to the recipe but may not be the texture you want. The roasted notes are the appeal, not a strongly sweet tropical taste.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Hot water
  • 1 tea bag Rooibos tea
  • 1 tsp Unsweetened toasted coconut

Make it

  1. Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
  2. Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.

Benefits

Rooibos · caffeine-free with coconut flakes

Choose pure rooibos for this coconut flakes cup: its mellow, woody brewed flavor comes without the caffeine found in black tea.

The coconut flakes detail
