Coconut Bedside Book

Coconut Vanilla Steamer. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Coconut Bedside Book

Coconut milk and vanilla make a rich, softly scented cup with no fruit acidity or tea bitterness to interrupt it. The coconut supplies the texture; vanilla simply rounds out the aroma. Heat gently and stir well, especially if the milk has separated in its container. A small mug suits the fuller consistency. Keep the vanilla measured so the coconut remains recognizable instead of turning into a generic sweet-smelling milk drink.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring

Make it

  1. Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan; do not boil.
  2. Add the spices, flavoring, and any fruit. Whisk powders well. If using tea, steep for the packet’s recommended time and remove the bag.
  3. Simmer gently for 2 minutes. Strain whole spices or fruit if you like, then pour into a mug.

Benefits

Coconut milk and vanilla · keep the flavor ritual

The coconut milk and vanilla combination gives you a creamy coconut flavor in a mixed drink built around its own flavors, keeping the familiar act of mixing and pouring while changing what goes into the glass.

A warmer side of vanilla

The coconut milk carries a sweet-smelling vanilla aroma from vanilla, giving you a fragrant warm drink to enjoy in place of an alcoholic nightcap.
