Clementine Sage Clock-Off

0.0% Gin, Clementine & Sage Tonic. A different way to make the moment yours.

Clementine Sage Clock-Off

Clementine gives this tonic a softer citrus character, with sage adding a savory, almost woodsy aroma. One small leaf is enough; too much sage can make the whole drink taste like stuffing. Lightly bruise it rather than shredding it into the glass. The botanical alternative and tonic keep the finish fairly dry, while the fruit rounds it out. This suits the first quiet drink after a busy day, especially if lemon and rosemary have become a little predictable.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz 0.0% non-alcoholic gin alternative
  • 4 oz Tonic water
  • 2 oz Clementine juice
  • 1 leaf Sage leaf

Make it

  1. Prepare the fruit and herbs as listed. Lightly press soft fruit and herbs in a glass without shredding the leaves.
  2. Add the non-alcoholic alternative and any still juices or flavorings. Stir together and strain if you prefer a smoother texture.
  3. Add ice if desired, then pour in the chilled carbonated mixer. Stir gently once and serve.

Benefits

Clementine ยท a little vitamin C

You get a small vitamin C contribution from clementine in the 0.0% gin and sage mixture, supporting normal immune function alongside a soft, sweet citrus flavor.

A sparkling setting for sage

Pairing sage with 0.0% gin and clementine puts an earthy herbal edge into a fizzy glass, with bubbles making the texture part of the pleasure.
