Cinnamon Moonflower

Cinnamon Chamomile Tea. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Cinnamon Moonflower

Cinnamon gives chamomile a warmer aroma without adding the weight of milk or juice. The tea stays light and floral, with spice appearing mostly around the edges. Brew first and add the cinnamon carefully, since ground spice can settle in a delicate cup. Stir before sipping and don’t mistake a stronger cinnamon flavor for a better tea. It’s most pleasant when the chamomile still has room to be itself.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Hot water
  • 1 tea bag Chamomile tea
  • 1/8 tsp Ground cinnamon

Make it

  1. Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
  2. Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
