Cherry Cardamom Quiet Cup

Cherry Cardamom Rooibos. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Cherry Cardamom Quiet Cup

Cherry gives rooibos a tart red-fruit note, while cardamom adds a fragrant spice edge. The tea’s mellow flavor helps connect them without making the drink creamy or heavy. Stir the juice into the brewed tea and use cardamom cautiously. Ground spice may settle, so give the cup a gentle stir before sipping. The cherry should remain distinct, with cardamom adding interest rather than making the whole thing taste like a spiced concentrate.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Hot water
  • 1 tea bag Rooibos tea
  • 2 oz Tart cherry juice
  • 1/16 tsp Ground cardamom

Make it

  1. Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
  2. Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.

Benefits

Rooibos · caffeine-free with cherry and cardamom

Cherry and cardamom changes the character of the rooibos, giving a caffeine-free brew more than one flavor to notice.

A warmer side of cardamom

The rooibos and cherry carries a fragrant, almost citrusy warmth from cardamom, giving you a fragrant warm drink to enjoy in place of an alcoholic nightcap.
