Cherry Breakfast Tea
Cherry Ginger Iced Tea. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Cherry gives ginger tea a dark fruit note without removing its warmth. Fresh ginger adds a more immediate bite than the tea alone, so this can be quite lively even without bubbles. Brew the tea first, then combine the juice and fresh ginger. Taste while it’s warm enough to enjoy, since an extended steep can make ginger the dominant flavor and leave the cherry more difficult to notice.
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag Ginger herbal tea
- 6 oz Hot water
- 2 oz Tart cherry juice
- 2 slice Fresh ginger
Make it
- Steep the tea in hot water for the time on its packet, then remove the bag.
- Let the tea cool. Press or mash any soft fruit and stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Pour over ice. Strain if you prefer a smoother drink.
Benefits
Ginger tea · caffeine-free with cherry and ginger
Ginger tea gives cherry and ginger a brewed base without caffeine, so the flavor does not depend on a caffeinated tea or coffee.
A different side of ginger
There is a peppery warmth from the measured ginger in the ginger tea and cherry mixture, giving that ingredient a place without drowning out the other flavors.
