Carrot Sunshine
Carrot Orange Ginger Cooler. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Carrot and orange give this a fuller texture than fruit-infused water. Orange supplies the familiar citrus sweetness, carrot adds an earthy note, and ginger keeps the finish from becoming too soft. Stir well because the juices can settle. If vegetable juice isn’t usually your thing, begin with the recipe’s proportions before increasing the carrot; its character is part of the drink, but it needn’t dominate every sip.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Cold water
- 2 oz Carrot juice
- 2 oz Orange juice
- 2 slice Fresh ginger
Make it
- Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
- Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
- Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.
Benefits
Carrot · color with a purpose
You get a small provitamin A carotenoids contribution from carrot in the orange and ginger mixture, supporting maintaining normal vision and immune function alongside a mellow vegetable sweetness.
A different side of ginger
There is a peppery warmth from the measured ginger in the carrot and orange mixture, giving that ingredient a place without drowning out the other flavors.
