Carob Coconut Close

Warm Carob Coconut Cup. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Carob Coconut Close

Carob and coconut milk make a rich, roasted evening cup with a softer flavor than dark cocoa. Coconut gives it a full texture, while carob adds mellow sweetness and depth. Mix the powder with a little milk first so it doesn’t form dry lumps. Heat gently and stir before sipping. A smaller mug can suit the richness; this is more substantial than a tea and doesn’t need extra ingredients to feel like a treat.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 tsp Carob powder

Make it

  1. Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan; do not boil.
  2. Add the spices, flavoring, and any fruit. Whisk powders well. If using tea, steep for the packet’s recommended time and remove the bag.
  3. Simmer gently for 2 minutes. Strain whole spices or fruit if you like, then pour into a mug.

Benefits

Coconut milk and carob · keep the flavor ritual

The coconut milk and carob combination gives you a creamy coconut flavor in a mixed drink built around its own flavors, keeping the familiar act of mixing and pouring while changing what goes into the glass.

A warmer side of carob

The coconut milk carries a gently sweet, roasted cocoa-like flavor from carob, giving you a fragrant warm drink to enjoy in place of an alcoholic nightcap.
