Blueberry Ginger Low Light

Blueberry Ginger Rooibos. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Blueberry Ginger Low Light

Blueberries add a mild berry note to rooibos, and ginger supplies a warmer finish. Because the berries are quieter than the ginger, press a few open before adding them to the tea. Use thin ginger slices and check the cup after a brief infusion. The tea’s woody character connects the fruit and spice nicely when neither is overdone. You may want to strain the berry skins for a smoother cup.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Hot water
  • 1 tea bag Rooibos tea
  • 1/4 cup Blueberries
  • 2 slice Fresh ginger

Make it

  1. Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
  2. Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.

Benefits
