Blackberry Rooibos Armchair
Blackberry Vanilla Rooibos. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Blackberry and vanilla give rooibos a dark-fruit note with a softer, familiar aroma. The tea’s woody flavor makes a steady base for both. Press a few ripe berries and let them sit in the brewed tea before adding the vanilla. You may prefer to strain the seeds. Keep the flavoring light enough that blackberry remains recognizable; this is more interesting as a fruit tea than as vanilla rooibos with some purple color.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1 tea bag Rooibos tea
- 1/4 cup Blackberries
- 1/8 tsp Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
Benefits
