Blackberry Oat First Bell
A blended drink with blackberry, oats, pear.

Blackberries make this a darker, more tart breakfast blend, while ripe pear takes the edge off without changing the berry character. Oats add body, particularly after the drink has stood for a few minutes. Blend a little longer than you would a simple juice drink so the oats aren't gritty. Blackberry seeds may still be present. If you like a thinner smoothie, add the extra milk at the end rather than reducing the fruit.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Unsweetened oat milk
- 1/4 cup Blackberries
- 1 tbsp Rolled oats
- 1/2 fruit Ripe pear, cored and sliced
Make it
- Prepare all fruit as listed. Use cooked, cooled ingredients where specified; remove every stone, core or hard stem.
- Add the milk and all remaining ingredients to a blender. Blend for 45–60 seconds, scraping down as needed, until smooth.
- Add a small splash of milk if needed to make it pourable. Serve immediately.
Benefits
Blackberry · keep the fiber
Blackberry supplies some fiber for keeping digestion moving regularly; pairing it with oat milk, oats, and pear adds another layer to the flavor.
Let pear change the texture
In the oat milk, blackberry, and oats blend, the measured pear adds a mellow orchard sweetness without an ice-cream base.
