Blackberry Early Bird
Blackberry Sage Water. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Blackberries bring a darker fruit note, while sage gives this water an earthy, almost savory scent. It’s an unusual pairing without being complicated. Use ripe berries and only a little sage; too much herb can make the fruit seem dull. Press a couple of berries open and let the glass stand briefly. The result should be subtle, with blackberry sweetness appearing around the herbal edges.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Cold water
- 1/4 cup Blackberries
- 1 leaf Sage
Make it
- Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
- Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
- Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.
