Blackberry Blanket Cup
Warm Blackberry Apple Cup. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Blackberries and apple make a gently fruity warm cup, with apple rounding out the berries’ tartness. Hot water dilutes the juices so this stays lighter than a warm fruit sauce or cider. Lightly press the berries to release their flavor, then let them stand with the apple. Seeds and a little pulp are normal unless strained. The blackberry should remain noticeable, rather than getting lost in a glass that tastes only of apple.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Hot water
- 1/4 cup Blackberries
- 2 oz Apple juice
Make it
- Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
- Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.
Benefits
Blackberry and apple juice · refreshing fluids
Using blackberry and apple juice turns the measured water into a drink with a dark, tart berry flavor. That water still counts toward your fluid intake.
