Black Lime Apple Side Door
Dried lime gives apple a darker citrus flavor than fresh lemon or lime.

Dried black lime has a deeper, slightly bitter citrus character than fresh lime juice, which gives apple a much less familiar finish. The short simmer draws out that aroma before the drink is chilled. Apple adds sweetness, while mint keeps the final sip lighter. Strain carefully so no hard peel or seed pieces remain. This is a little pantry exploration in a glass, suited to someone who enjoys tart flavors and wants something more unusual than another apple-and-ginger cooler.
