Berry Good Morning
Strawberry Basil Water. A simple recipe for the start of your day.

Strawberries and basil sound a little like something from the garden, and that’s the appeal. The berries give the water a faint sweetness; basil adds a leafy aroma you notice before the fruit really develops. Choose ripe strawberries and press them lightly rather than turning them into pulp. A few minutes in the glass makes more difference than a handful of extra leaves.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Cold water
- 1/4 cup Strawberries
- 3 leaf Basil leaves
Make it
- Add the fruit and herbs to a glass. Gently press soft fruit or herbs to release their flavor.
- Stir in the juice, any optional salt or sweetener, and the water. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir once.
- Add ice if you like. Let infused water stand for 5 minutes for a fuller flavor.
